In the name of God, Amen. I John Adams of the County of Conecuh and State of alabama being mindful and mortality, do this twenty second day of March Eighteen hundred and Twenty seven Make an Publish this my last will and testament Maner following first I desire to be decently buried after the ---

Second - I give and bequeth to my son Stephen Adams one negro boy by the name of Dick, one feather bead (bed) and furnature, two cows and calves which he is to have at my death to have and to hold foever and his heirs will Excutors after him in there proper right.
Third - I give and herby bequeath to my son Vinson Adams and his heirs after at my death one negro boy by the name of Icham and bead and furnature and two caows and calves.
Fourth - I give and bequeath to my daughter Sarah Hawkins and her heirs after her at my death a negro girl by the name of Edy and her increase and bead and furnature and two cows and calves.
Fifth - I give and bequeath to my daughter Nancy Simpson and her heirs at my death one negro girl by the name of Fanny and her increase and bead and furnature and two cows and calves.
Sixth - I give and bequeath to my son Henry Adams whenever he becomes of age three hundred dollars to be paid to him out of my Estate that I have left in the hands of my beloved wife, Polly Adams before an equal division shall take place in and bead and furnature and two cows and calves.
Seventh- I give and bequeath to my daughter Polly Adams whenever she marries or becomes of age three hundred dollars and bead and furnature and two cows and calves to be paid out of the propery I have given to my beloved wife before an equal division shall take place among my heirs.
Eight - I give and bequeath to my daughter Rebecka Adams whenever she becomes of age or marry three hundred dollars and bead and furnaure and two cows and calves to be paid out of the property I have left in the hands of my beloved wife Polly Adams before an equal division shall take place.
Ninth - I give and bequeath to my daughter Eliza Ann Adams whenever she shall become of age or marry three hundred dollars and bead and furnature and two cows and calves to be paid her out of my Estate I have left in the hands of my beloved wife before an equal division shall take place.
Tenth - I give and bequeath to my daughter Repsy Ann Adams whenever she becomes of age or shall marry three hundred dollars and bead and furnature and two cows and calves to be paid her out of my estate left in the hands of my beloved wife before an equal division shall take place.
Eleventh - I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha Ann Adams whenever she shall become of age or marry three hundred dollars and bead and furnature and two cows and calves to be paid her out of my Estate left in the hands of my beloved wife before an Equal division shall take place.
Tweelth - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Polly Adams for and during her natural life and widowhood all my Estate both real and personal after all my just debts are paid except what I have given to my sons, Stephen Adams Vinson Adams and Henry Adams also to my daughters Sarah Hawkins and Nancy Simpson my will is that my wife shall pay what I have herein before mentioned that they should have out of my estate left in her hands also my son Henry Adams what I have left him my will further is that at the death or marriage of my beloved wife Polly Adams that after all my just debts are paid and the within mentioned heirs shall have received ther portions I have herein left them that the balance of my Estate both real and personal shall be sold and euqally divided amongst all my lawful heirs. And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my dearly beloved wife Sarah Adams execitrix and my friend John Green executor of this my last will and testament herby revoking all others or former wills or testaments by me heretofore make in witness whereto I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written

John Green came personally inopen court and after being duly sworn upon the Holy Spirit of God -------- and saith he did see the within instrument of writing purporting to be the last will and testament of John Adams -----Signed by the said decedent in his life time and that at the time of the signing of the same said John Adams was of sound diforming mind and memory and that this depement did in the presence of said John Adams --- in his life time in the presence of William Pearce and David Pearce who has signed the same as witness --------with these also as a witness thereto------ John Green
