David Rousseau Cemetery- located off Clear Creek Rd., Rousseau Hollow. Small family cemetery on the old Rousseau farm. The cemetery is on the side of the mountain just above the homeplace of David R. and Nancy Rousseau. David R. Rousseau Nancy Ann 12-12-1840 2-16-1845 2-1-1888 4-12-1931 "In God we trust" "Thy trials are ended" R.J. Rousseau 12-27-1872 6-15-1897 "Down in his low and narrow bed he sleeps among the quiet dead with every earthly sorrow past, our dear one is home at last." Floyd E. Rousseau 6-5-1900 9-18-1901 "Floyd, we miss you everywhere" Son of Charles B. and Minnie Beal Rousseau Unmarked graves: There are 17 graves marked with native fieldstones only. Buried here are five small children of John Grant and Laura Austin Rousseau. Also Winnie Ethel Smith, one-year old daughter of Lucy (Rousseau) and Nathan Deris Smith is buried here. She died on her first birthday 11-11-1895. Descendants are fairly certain that David's parents, John and Martha are buried here. Exact dates are not known but John died before 1860, and Martha died between 1860-1870
